I was born and raised in Emmen and I´ve had a fascination with exploring and investigating new things, ever since I was a little boy. During my chemistry study at Stenden University of Applied Sciences, I worked part-time in an analytical laboratory, where I learned a lot about polymer analysis. At the end of my graduation project at a polymer development institute, I met Marco Brons in the cafeteria. He offered me a job, setting up the Quality and Research Department at our sister company DuFor in Zevenaar.
I love doing research and developing new innovative products and processes and this is what my job is all about. I also like solving problems in close cooperation with customers and colleagues. I am proud of our team and of the modern lab facilities we have set up over the years. Our lab in Zevenaar is in fact a small scale Cumapol production facility, combined with extensive equipment for polymer analysis.
Looking to the future, the polymer industry is faced with many challenges. I am looking forward to develop more and more sustainable products and solutions and it is my goal to really bring this to the next level.
With the start of the chemical recycling project (CuRe Polyester) my exploratory mind comes fully into play.
Let’s create a game-changing plastic revolution!
